How do I copy messages and/or folders from mailhost to my own PC?

Use these procedures to move older messages off the server and onto your local system. You'll still be able to search the messages locally, respond, forward, etc.

Email Client	What to Do
MS Outlook Express or Netscape Communicator or Mozilla	Make the list of Accounts and Folders visible on the left pane if necessary Right click "Local Folders" and pick "New Folder..." A "New Folder" dialoge window will pop up; enter a name such as "Offline Archive 2004" and click "Okay" Open the folder containing the messages you want to move Select (highlight) message(s) using mouse+shift or <CTRL-A> Right click the message (or one of the highlighted messages) and then select Move to then Local Folders then Offline Archive 2004 or whatever you chose earlier. Repeat for other folders you wish to move from. It is possible to create additional folders or subfolders to move your old messages into.
MS Outlook	Quite similar to above.
Campus Pipeline or Webmail	These don't have download-to-local host functions.
Other mail clients	Please contact the helpdesk and specify that this document lacks the information you need.
